In short, “you can search by dialoging like humans talk.” Traditional search works as “enter keywords → display results list,” but conversational search operates as “question → answer → follow-up question → refined answer”—an automated loop. Since AI remembers context and understands “relevance to previous questions,” users avoid the tedious task of “re-entering the same keywords.”

A key concern is LLM hallucination. Without RAG—ensuring “answering from trusted sources”—AI might provide false or fabricated information. For high-consequence domains (medical, legal), hallucination is extremely dangerous.
Also, conversational search tends to record user behavior data. Tracking what users ask and which answers satisfy improves recommendation accuracy, but privacy concerns arise. GDPR-compliant proper data management is essential.
